Overview
The National Consultant will design and develop a Career Guidance Model for the Albanian education system, ensuring its contextualization and integration into the existing educational framework to improve school-to-work transition outcomes for young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop a Career Guidance Model for the Albanian education system.
- Contextualize key components, implementation modalities, institutional roles, and sustainability mechanisms of the model.
- Collaborate with the International Consultant on Career Guidance.
- Coordinate with the International Expert on the Career Guidance model, framework, designing the Training of Trainers (ToT), delivering training, and follow-up.
- Create synergies with the work conducted by experts on Life Skills.
Required Experience
- At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in career guidance, education systems development, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in working with career guidance models, frameworks, or programmes at national or system level in Albania.
- Proven experience in designing and/or implementing career guidance systems or programmes within the Albanian education systems.
- Background in working with education institutions in Albania.
- Demonstrated work experience in policy analysis, education reform, and system strengthening.
- Experience in conducting qualitative research, including interviews, focus groups, stakeholder consultations, facilitating of trainings.
- Demonstrated work experience in developing analytical reports, policy briefs, and education frameworks.
- Experience working with international organizations, such as UN agencies or EU-funded programmes, is considered an asset.
Qualifications
Masters degree. Background formation in Education, Career Guidance, Psychology, Human Development, Sociology, or related fields, with demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing career guidance systems in education, and school-to-work transition frameworks in Albania.
