Overview

This internship offers the opportunity to contribute to the UN’s digital agenda by supporting the implementation of innovation projects and emerging technologies within process improvement projects and supply chain management.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the project management and coordination of innovation initiatives.
  • Assist in research on emerging technology trends and assess their relevance to sustainable development, humanitarian operations, and supply chain management.
  • Support in analyzing operational and supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives by synthesizing research findings on digital innovation, technology applications, and best practices.
  • Support and facilitate cross-functional collaboration with technical teams, program staff, and external partners.
Required Experience
  • Practical experience (including internships, volunteer work, or research assistantships) in data analysis, project coordination, or supply chain logistics.
  • Experience in drafting technical documents, research summaries, or academic reports.
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or be pursuing an advanced university degree, such as a Masters or a Ph.D., or be a recent graduate from such studies (within the last 3 years).
  • Studied or be studying towards a university degree preferably in: Innovation & Entrepreneurship; Business Administration; Sciences, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, International Development, or Information Technology, or another related discipline.

Remuneration
• Interns may be eligible for a monthly stipend from UNOPS, provided that they do not receive funds from other institutions. • UNOPS may provide a one-time travel lump sum to support this internship.
