Overview

To support effective delivery of finance, budget and administration support services in order to facilitate transparent and efficient utilization of financial resources.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing procedural and technical support in finance and budget.
  • Monitor monthly expenditure forecasts and provide expenditure reports.
  • Monitor petty cash accounts.
  • Verify vendor claims, advances and other receivables.
  • Assist in compiling information for reports relating to budgets, accounting, finance and statistics.
  • Retrieve, format and validate information from financial information systems.
  • Perform administrative duties related to monitoring and recording fixed assets, fuel and spare parts for vehicles and generators.
  • Maintain web-based/electronic register for invoices and payment transfers.
  • Monitor and record expenses in line with the approved budget.
  • Provide guidance and on-the-job training to other support staff.
  • Liaise with local bank officials.
  • Exercise independent decision-making when handling critical or complex financial matters.
  • Process Cooperating Partner and vendor invoices.
  • Assist the Programme team in initiating and finalizing FLAs.
  • Serve as CP Focal Person, facilitate and perform operational processes at Field Level.
  • Provide training to CPs and programme staff on invoicing, financial reporting, and budget management.
  • Strengthen financial oversight by verifying timely and accurate CP payments.
  • Support the preparation of field-level reports, data summaries, and presentations.
  • Ensure timely implementation of financial and operational instructions.
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably with international organizations or the corporate sector.

Qualifications

Completion of secondary school education (grade 12). A post-secondary certificate or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is desirable. Professional certification (ACCA, CA – Inter, CIMA) is an advantage.
