Overview

The Communications, Innovation and Multimedia Specialist will support the country office through innovative communications approaches to enhance development storytelling, curate multimedia content, and manage engagement platforms and advocacy campaigns.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of communication strategies aligned with Country Office and corporate priorities.
  • Manage digital platforms, including website, social media, and intranet, and adapt emerging technologies for communications.
  • Promote close cooperation between and among UN/DP units to proactively identify and mitigate bottlenecks to the delivery of results.
  • Support the facilitation of knowledge building and management.
  • Identify and roll out approved digital solutions for programming in alignment with UNDP digital and AI strategy.
Required Experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience in Communications or the digital sector, at the national or international level, or a related field is required.
  • Candidates with more than 3 years of relevant experience in Communications or the digital sector, at the national or international level will be considered.
  • Experience in management of strategic communications, public relations, and software solutions delivery, including packaged and bespoke solutions, is required.
  • Experience in system development lifecycles and their relationship to project delivery methods is required.
  • Knowledge of and experience in graphic design and video editing is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and applications is highly desired.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication or Information Technology, Public Relations.
  • Microsoft certified professional (MCP) is desired.

Remuneration
• A Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): USD 2396.08 per month; • A once off entry lumpsum of USD 3500 at the start of the assignment; • Medical insurance; Life cover, and annual leave; • Family allowance: $250 per month for one dependent. $450 per month for two or more dependents; • Access to all learning platforms; • A once off exit lumpsum at the end of the assignment.
