Overview
The role involves providing community-based legal assistance, information, counselling, and referral services to displaced and vulnerable populations, as well as monitoring, documenting, and reporting on eviction risks and displacement trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community outreach to monitor, identify, and document eviction threats and risk factors.
- Engage with community members and local leaders to gather information on eviction risks.
- Provide referrals to the ICLA team for high-risk eviction cases.
- Deliver information and counselling services regarding HLP rights and legal assistance.
- Organize and participate in information sessions.
- Assist in preparing and conducting community-based assessments.
- Support mapping of relevant service providers and update referral pathways.
- Document and report on outreach and community engagement activities.
- Support planning and implementation of ICLA activities.
- Assist with distribution and communication of legal awareness materials.
- Strengthen linkages between the community and NRC services.
- Maintain regular communication with the ICLA team for technical guidance.
- Coordinate with other NRC field teams.
- Monitor the quality and impact of services.
- Submit weekly and monthly reports.
- Carry out administrative tasks related to field activities.
Required Experience
- Experience in community outreach and mobilization.
- Experience in case documentation and field data collection.
- Experience working in legal/humanitarian sectors preferred.
- Familiarity with eviction response and prevention approaches.
Qualifications
• Diploma in Law, High School Certificate or equivalent.
