Overview

The intern will support UNDP China's communications efforts by producing video and design products, assisting with communications work, and managing social media content.


Key Responsibilities
  • Produces various types of video/design products including short videos for social media, project videos, and simple motion graphic design.
  • Supports video shooting/photographing for offline events.
  • Organizes UNDP China’s video/photo library.
  • Supports communications work by offering creative solutions with video/design products.
  • Manages live-streaming for events and collects data.
  • Drafts content and makes layout for social media articles and posts.
  • Drafts media summary, communications reports and related documents.
  • Carries out other ad hoc task forces requested by the supervisor.
Required Experience

Relevant and independent work experience in video editing, video shooting, design, media event or social media campaign.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master’s programme, or higher);
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor’s degree or equivalent);
  • Have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;
  • Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program. Major in video editing, film, communications, journalism, or other relevant fields.

Good oral and written communication ability in both English and Chinese
Languages Preferred
Having overseas study experience will be an asset. Having extra skills that can be applied to online/offline communications (i.e. graphic design, photo editing, WeChat layout, etc.) will be an asset.

Remuneration
UNDP will provide a stipend, at the rate determined in accordance with UNDP internship policy, unless intern is financially supported by any institution or programme.
