Overview
The intern will support the Economist Team focusing on Green and Sustainable Finance, contributing to key initiatives like the United Nations Joint Programme on Green and Climate Finance and the Climate Finance Network.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct background research and analysis on green and sustainable finance.
- Collect and analyze best practices and lessons learned from UNDP’s strategic policy initiatives.
- Assist in supporting engagements with government counterparts, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to preparing concept notes and proposals to tap funding opportunities.
- Support outreach activities and facilitate events.
- Draft briefings, reports, policy notes, and other documentation.
- Develop communication materials, such as presentations, data visualizations, case studies, blogs, and newsletters.
- Provide administrative support to the team, including logistic, scheduling meetings, note-taking, and maintaining online records and documents.
Required Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; experience with web-based management systems is an advantage.
Qualifications
Currently in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree; or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree; or have graduated no longer than 1 year ago from a master’s degree or equivalent studies. Field of study: Relevant fields such as Economics, International Development, Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
