Overview
This internship focuses on assisting with the design and prototyping of AI algorithms and data analyzing models to support ongoing projects and future technology exploration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and prototyping AI algorithms and data analysing models.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal tools for data processing, model training, and AI architecture improvement.
- Support the creation, deployment, and optimization of machine learning models.
- Conduct research and experiments with advanced AI technologies.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and preprocessing.
- Assist in integrating AI solutions into existing workflows and systems.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document the progress and outcomes of AI-related projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
- Pursuing or have pursued a degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in AI and data science like Python.
- Demonstrated knowledge of deep learning/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar).
- Knowledge of experimenting with and building scalable machine learning models using large datasets.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud for AI/ML development (desirable).
- Knowledge of conversational design for AI interfaces (desirable).
