Overview

The Information Management Intern: UX Design will assist in designing and prototyping user interfaces, conducting user research, and supporting the creation of design systems for ongoing projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing and prototyping user interfaces for ongoing projects.
  • Conduct and assist in user research through surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
  • Design and refine sketches, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of design systems, UI components, and style guides.
  • Collaborate with developers, data teams, and stakeholders.
  • Document design processes, research insights, and usability findings.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent).
  • Pursuing or pursued a degree in areas related to UX Design.
  • Proficiency in user research methods.
  • Knowledge of interaction design principles.
  • Proficiency in information architecture.
  • Proficiency in high- and low-fidelity prototyping and wireframing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of conducting usability evaluation.
  • Demonstrated interest in working with conversational design and AI related products.

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
