Overview
Assist in research related to the Comprehensive Planning and Performance Assessment System (CPAS) within the Department of Peacekeeping Operations. The role supports the Evaluation Team in reviewing policies, preparing materials, and analyzing mission performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting research on issues relevant to the work of the Evaluation Team, in reviewing existing policies and tools on performance monitoring and performance;
- Assist in preparing reports, concept papers, policy documents, talking points, articles and other materials;
- Support the development of peacekeeping mission results frameworks for the Comprehensive Planning and Performance Assessment System (CPAS);
- Support peacekeeping missions with the management of CPAS and use of its data in communications and reporting;
- Assist with the development of CPAS communications and training materials;
- Participate in the analysis of mission performance;
- Attend online conferences and meetings, and take meeting notes;
- Perform other duties as requested.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent)
- Proficient in standard word processing and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint or similar;
- Be proficient in standard office automation equipment, scanner, printer, etc.).
