Overview

The consultant will lead the development of a comprehensive Digital and AI Strategy to strengthen the acceleration to scale of UPSHIFT, identifying scalable digital tools and designing AI-enabled project evaluation and facilitation aids.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a Digital and AI Strategy to strengthen the acceleration to scale of UPSHIFT.
  • Identify approaches to integrate AI within the UPSHIFT learning journey.
  • Focus on lowering the financial and human costs in transitioning to digital blended deliveries at the country level.
  • Ensure systematic knowledge management across the UPSHIFT community of practice.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 12 years of proven professional experience in information systems development.
  • A minimum of 8 years in learning management systems development and deployment.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in working in Education systems and deploying digital solutions on global south.
  • Knowledge of Government education systems environment and digitation education deployments at scale in different countries / contexts.
  • Proven track record in design and/or implementation of skills building programme at scale.
  • Experience in developing AI systems or workflows for different learning environments.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Education, Information Technology
  • A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.

• Fluency in English is required.
Languages Preferred
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
