Overview
Consultant to support nutrition programme planning, implementation, monitoring, resource mobilization, and strengthening nutrition information systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Technically support for nutrition assessments, surveys, formative research, and operational learning studies on nutrition
- Support for Emergency Preparedness and Nutrition in Humanitarian Action
- Capacity Strengthening, Coordination, and Partnerships
- Nutrition Systems Strengthening, Sustainability, and Scale-up Support
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of professional experience in a developing country in one or more of the following areas is required: nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant and child health/nutrition care.
- Advocacy and strategic engagement experience in the nutrition sector an asset, especially if in the context of stunting and/or wasting.
- Experience in nutrition programme development, multi-sector programming, and management in a UN system agency or organization is an asset
- Background/familiarity with emergency operations
Qualifications
An advanced university degree (Masters) in one of the following fields is required: Nutrition, public health, nutritional epidemiology, global/international health and nutrition, health/nutrition research, policy and/or management, health sciences nutritional epidemiology, or another health related science field
