Overview

The Technical Coordinator (Project Manager) is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a European Union project with UNOPS and Expertise France, ensuring tasks are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with the project's work plan and the 2026–2029 Strategic Plan.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leads the day-to-day management and implementation of the project XXX.
  • Coordinate the technical delivery of EU/EY project UNFPA-led outputs, including Comprehensive Health Education (CHE), re-entry programs for girls, and gender-sensitive teacher training.
  • Oversees the integration of life skills and reproductive health education into the SSE curriculum to prevent dropouts.
  • Acts as the UNFPA focal point for MoBSE and MoHERST to ensure national ownership of the EU/EY project.
  • Coordinate with the UNFPA Representation office to the EU, as needed.
  • Oversees community-level interventions and mentorship programs for aspiring female educators.
  • Identifies operational risks and implements mitigation strategies in coordination with the Project Steering Committee.
  • Serve as the UNFPA focal point in the Joint PMU, coordinating with UNOPS and Expertise France to synchronise field missions and reporting.
  • Manage the relationship with the project’s sub-grantees and ensure they leverage digital tools for community mobilisation.
  • Utilise app analytics and EMIS data to produce high-quality narrative and financial and narrative reports for the Project Steering Committee and the Donor.
Required Experience

At least five years of professional experience in managing complex development programs, preferably in education or adolescent health.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in Public Health, Education, Gender Studies, Social Sciences or Project Management.
