Overview

The WatHab Generalist Project Officer will conduct needs assessments, design and implement infrastructure projects, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution in challenging environments.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments and technical surveys.
  • Design and implement infrastructure projects, including feasibility studies, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee procurement processes and manage contractors.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Supervise construction activities, conduct commissioning, and facilitate handover.
  • Train local stakeholders on operation and maintenance.
  • Apply results-based management principles.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports.
Required Experience
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in engineering, infrastructure rehabilitation, construction, water and sanitation, or related fields.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in project management in a thematic related to WatHab expertise.
  • Experience in managing contractors.
Qualifications

• A university degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
