Overview

The Programme Policy Officer (Research, Assessment & Monitoring - RAM) will lead the RAM unit for WFP Djibouti, conducting operational and analytical activities including statistical and economic analyses to support WFP's activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of food security and household vulnerability analysis, including participation in IPC workshops.
  • Conduct and support profiling of refugee households and targeting processes, including data collection and analysis.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and quality control of market functionality assessments.
  • Provide assistance for the coordination of data collection and monitoring systems.
  • Support capacity building of WFP staff, partners, and government on vulnerability analysis.
  • Guide and supervise less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to the development of monitoring, analysis, and evaluation plans.
  • Budget for monitoring and evaluation costs and advocate for appropriate resources.
  • Support the supervisor in establishing and ensuring the proper functioning of monitoring systems and tools.
  • Ensure the implementation of process monitoring and Post-Distribution Monitoring (PDM).
  • Conduct data analysis and write regular monitoring reports.
  • Provide feedback on the formulation of regional M&E strategies.
  • Contribute to the capacity building of WFP staff and partners in M&E.
  • Ensure the management, quality, and regular updating of programmatic data in COMET.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of CFM, ensuring the collection, recording, analysis, and processing of complaints and feedback.
  • Perform any other related tasks as required.
Required Experience

Two to three years of progressive and responsible experience in monitoring, research, or evaluations.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's level or equivalent) in social sciences, economics, demography, statistics, mathematics, food security, international development, or related fields. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's) may be accepted with additional years of relevant professional experience.
