Overview
The economic recovery assistant supports the Economic Recovery team by conducting livelihoods activities, including assessments and implementing business grants and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in communicating DRC economic recovery activities to stakeholders and the community.
- Identification, and registration of the economic recovery activities targets groups.
- Participate in conducting various field assessments and surveys including needs assessment, market, and labor market assessments and baseline surveys.
- Identify gaps in the business market and encourage the development of new relevant business to fill the gap.
- Participate in implementing business grant programming according to DRC process and SOPs.
- Monitoring and supporting project implementation at the field level.
- conducting business support training with candidates for Business grants, as well as other candidates identified.
- Compile monthly report on the business grant to the project team leader and the economic recovery project coordinator.
- Provide regular advice and technical support to business development support beneficiaries.
- Actively contribute to the teamwork of the Economic recovery’s activities.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the line manager or AM.
Required Experience
1–2 years in NGO/humanitarian settings, ideally in livelihoods or economic Recovery
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Economics, Business Administration, or Development Studies
