Overview

The intern will contribute to the daily live and on-demand streaming coverage of United Nations meetings and events through the UN Web TV platform. The candidate will be trained to use a cloud video platform for publishing videos and metadata.


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the daily live and on-demand streaming coverage of United Nations meetings and events through the UN Web TV platform.
  • Be trained to use a cloud video platform to upload videos along with relevant language metadata for publishing on the UN Web TV website.
  • Assist with the live and on-demand streaming on Social Media accounts, including the UN Youtube channel, Facebook (UNWebTV) and Twitter (UNWebTV).
  • Assist with other tasks.
Required Experience

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
  • Be enrolled in or have completed the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
  • Be computer literate in standard word processing and spreadsheets software applications.
  • Have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
Other Details
Languages Required
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

4-6 Months

Remuneration
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
