Overview

Two National Consultants will provide technical assistance to the Ministry of National Education for the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of interventions related to the PITAF and MLT Programs in the SOFIA and MENABE regions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to programs.
  • Ensure technical capacity building of MEN teams at the regional level.
  • Focus on strategic axes: teacher competencies, quality and effectiveness of learning time, and learning conditions.
Required Experience
  • ≥ 5 years of experience in the education or social sectors in Madagascar.
  • Experience in planning and coordination.
  • Experience in program/project implementation support.
  • Experience in data management and financial quality assurance practices at national or regional level.
  • Proven experience working with, collaborating with, or technically supporting decentralized structures of ministries in charge of education.
  • Ability to interact with a diversity of stakeholders.
  • Experience and/or very good knowledge in UNICEF's priority education intervention areas.
  • Previous work experience within a United Nations organization is desirable.
  • Experience in multisectoral support in education: WASH, school health and nutrition, child protection, and behavior change communication.
Qualifications

• An advanced university degree (Masters) in at least one of the following fields: Education, social sciences, economics, development management, or any other equivalent/relevant field.

• Fluency in French and Malagasy are required.

• Good command of English (oral and written).
