Overview
The Site Management Field Assistant will assist the concerned programme unit with organizing field team activities, supporting capacity building plans, and facilitating community-led initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize field team activities aimed at promoting participation in site level activities of all refugee community sub-groups.
- Support the SMO in designing a capacity building plan for refugees.
- Support the SMO in facilitating the identification and rolling out of community led initiatives.
- Keep a up-to-date record of community groups, refugee governance structures, population representatives and other community leaders.
- Assist the SMO in maintaining relationships between service providers, national authorities and refugee governance structures.
- Support site level assessments and report challenges with service provision.
- Assist the SMO in keeping abreast of all Women Participation Program (WPP) issues.
- Remain well informed of information related to services provided by humanitarian partners and national authorities.
- Attend relevant coordination meetings and relay information to stakeholders.
- Ensure support materials for WPP engagement are availed and delivered.
- Control the quality of data collected and ensure proper information management.
- Prepare preliminary analysis of data and related activity reports.
- Promote adherence to appropriate safety and security procedures.
- Prepare relevant finance and procurement documents and keep records of expenses.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
- At least of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian aid field for candidates holding a secondary school diploma.
- 3 years of experience for those holding a bachelor degree.
- Background in project management or other relevant subject; knowledge and training in team management - or equivalent combination of education, training & experience;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
