Overview

Support episode research and guest scheduling for live broadcast programmes focused on African innovation and entrepreneurship.


Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out background research on assigned episode themes and compile structured research briefs.
  • Communicate with and schedule guests for the show.
  • Carry out post-show communication, including thank you emails.
  • Compile a list of 3–5 potential guest candidates relevant to the episode theme.
  • Prepare a short background summary (150–200 words) on each candidate.
  • Suggest 2–3 conversation angles per candidate.
  • Submit 12 completed episode research briefs per volunteer.
  • Contact up to 36 guests, confirming and scheduling them for show episodes.
  • Hold up to 12 pre-session briefing calls with confirmed guests.
Required Experience
  • Strong research skills and ability to synthesise information clearly in written English.
  • Familiarity with African startup ecosystems, entrepreneurship, or development finance.
  • Experience using LinkedIn, Crunchbase, or similar platforms for professional research.
  • Ability to meet weekly deadlines and work independently in a remote setting.
