Overview
The Investment Specialist/Senior Investment Specialist will contribute to the development of an equity asset and portfolio management function, originating and processing new equity investments, managing key accounts, and overseeing portfolio monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new equity investments and execute equity investments by leading deal teams, managing due diligence, and providing advice on deal structuring, valuation, and bidding strategy.
- Assume account and relationship responsibility for assigned key accounts, approving waivers and amendments, and potentially acting as a board director for investee companies.
- Oversee portfolio monitoring, ensuring financial health, development impact, compliance with safeguards, and timely receipt of income.
- Lead and participate in initiatives and change projects.
- Coordinate and expand programs introducing international best practices in corporate governance and risk management.
- Facilitate relationships with financial intermediaries and report on market trends.
- Create and lead diverse teams, supervise performance, and provide coaching and mentoring.
Required Experience
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or related fields.
- International work experience in several countries.
- Experience dealing with distressed assets is an advantage.
Qualifications
• A University degree in Business and/or Finance or relevant fields; preferably at post-graduate level or its equivalent.
