Overview
Provide reliable, safe, and efficient transportation services in support of the implementation of the PHOENIX-RESYP project. Ensure timely mobility of project personnel, delivery of documents and materials, and adherence to UNDP operational, administrative, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide driving and transportation services for authorized personnel, consultants, official visitors, and stakeholders, as well as for the delivery and collection of documents, correspondence, equipment, and project-related items.
- Meet and facilitate official visitors and personnel at airports and other points of arrival/departure.
- Plan and coordinate transportation schedules and routes.
- Ensure compliance with UNDP transport management policies, road safety regulations, security protocols, and local traffic laws.
- Maintain vehicle(s) through regular inspections and preventive maintenance measures.
- Arrange timely servicing, repairs, technical inspections, and replacement of parts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle logs, mileage records, fuel consumption records, and maintenance history.
- Monitor and ensure the validity and timely renewal of all required vehicle-related documentation.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is equipped with all required safety and operational items.
- Contribute to the efficient and cost-effective utilization of project vehicles.
- Provide logistical and operational support for meetings, workshops, conferences, trainings, field missions, and other project events.
- Assist in procurement-related logistical processes.
- Support the distribution, transportation, movement, and tracking of project-related assets, equipment, materials, supplies, correspondence, and documentation.
- Assist the project team in ensuring the smooth operational coordination of activities.
- Ensure strict compliance with UNDP security procedures.
- Exercise vigilance and sound judgment during all driving assignments and report security concerns, incidents, accidents, or operational risks.
- Take immediate and appropriate actions in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security incidents.
- Immediately report any accidents, vehicle damage, security concerns, or maintenance needs to the supervisor and relevant UNDP personnel.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a driver with a safe driving record is required.
- Desired skills: Previous working experience with the UN, International Organizations, and Embassies; Experience working in southern regions in Armenia; Experience with administrative rules and regulations; Experience in security issues.
Qualifications
Secondary Education with a valid driver's license is required.
