Overview

The objective of this consultancy is to develop technical analyses, policy documents, and communication materials advancing the work of GlobalABC Hubs and Action Groups and the Intergovernmental Council for Buildings and Climate (ICBC).


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical analyses, policy documents, and communication materials.
  • Produce stakeholder and membership mapping reports for Hubs and Action Groups.
  • Prepare technical notes and analytical reports summarizing Hub and Action Group inputs.
  • Create background documents and briefing notes for Hub and Action Group sessions.
  • Contribute thematic input documents to GlobalABC knowledge materials.
  • Prepare analytical reports on emerging issues from Hubs and Action Groups.
  • Produce mapping reports of ICBC member country priorities and review the ICBC workplan.
  • Develop country briefing materials and written analyses.
  • Create needs assessment reports for ICBC member countries.
  • Prepare background documents, agendas, discussion notes, and post-meeting summary briefs for ICBC sessions.
  • Produce progress reports tracking member country alignment with Chaillot Declaration commitments.
  • Contribute written materials to country-level deliverables under the ICBC workplan.
Required Experience

At least two years of working experience in the field of sustainable buildings, environment, climate change or related field. Experience with sustainable buildings and construction initiatives is required. Experience of working with international organisations is an asset; Experience with intergovernmental processes is desired.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in architecture, civil engineering, environmental policy, political science, or economics, preferably with relevant specialisation in sustainable buildings and construction, resource efficiency, circularity, climate change, or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
