Overview

The Research Analyst will assist the Office in research and analytical duties consistent with emerging global challenges and the priorities of the Constituency.


Key Responsibilities
  • Research, collect and analyze data to allow constituency Advisors/Senior Advisors to fully elaborate Constituency positions.
  • Support the Executive Director’s interactions with WBG’s entities, Regional and Sectoral VPUs, other EDs, constituency members and external partners.
  • Identify relevant sources of information and perform data driven analysis.
  • Research on the development situations of various countries.
  • Update economic, social and environmental indicators.
  • Maintain dashboards to assist the Executive Directors Office in deploying strategic plans.
  • Research and identify, gather, and analyze data to produce high quality reports and other outputs.
  • Coordinate the preparation of periodic analyses and information reports.
  • Support the Office in leveraging emerging artificial intelligence tools and digital platforms.
  • Participate in meetings and events and prepare materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefing materials, presentations, and talking points.
  • Provide high quality support to the Executive Director/Alternate Executive Director and Senior Advisors/Advisors.
  • Liaise with appropriate contacts in the capitals of the constituency to gather and manage information, indicators and development strategies.
  • Build and regularly update a dashboard for each country.
  • Handle ad hoc duties assigned by the ED and AED.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant public service experience.
  • Understanding of the needs and experience working in the Sub-Saharan African Region.
  • Ability to carry out research, analysis and propose solutions to support strategic goals.
  • Highly skilled in information technology, artificial intelligence applications, and digital platforms.
  • Experience in social media communications, digital content management, data visualization, and graphic design applications is an added advantage.
Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree (e.g., in Economics, Finance, Banking, Business Administration or related discipline).
