Overview
The Programme Oversight Support Officer will provide analytical, coordination, and follow-up support to enable leadership to effectively discharge oversight and governance responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support UNDCO’s Oversight and Governance Role by reviewing programme documentation, facilitating review of progress reports, tracking adherence to governance arrangements, and preparing analytical summaries.
- Strengthen Accountability and Information Management by tracking decisions, maintaining organized documentation, and supporting information flow.
- Facilitate Coordination and Institutional Alignment by preparing background materials, ensuring clarity of roles, and participating in coordination meetings.
- Monitor Risk and Compliance from a Governance Perspective by tracking risk issues, following up on recommendations, and supporting oversight responsibilities related to fiduciary and accountability standards.
- Provide analytical and coordination support as required.
Required Experience
- At least 3–5 years of relevant professional experience supporting programme oversight, governance, monitoring, reporting, or accountability functions in development, humanitarian, or international cooperation contexts.
- Technical experience in gender-based violence (GBV ) and eliminating violence against women and girls is desirable.
- Experience coordinating and liaising with donors is an asset.
- Experience working in knowledge management is an asset.
- Experience working within the United Nations system or other international organizations is desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration, international relations, development studies, finance, economics or another relevant field is required.
