Overview
The role holder will provide generalist HR support to the Gaza FO, including recruitment, onboarding, and compensation and benefits, across the full range of HR processes. They will also be responsible for continuously improving HR processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft/support vacancy announcements based on SCI formats.
- Participate in national recruitment and facilitate international recruitment.
- Collect and track Recruitment Planner forms and approvals.
- Organize interviews and prescreening interviews.
- Participate/facilitate in national staff interviews.
- Run background and reference checks and send regrets to unsuccessful candidates.
- Ensure recruitment files are complete and updated.
- Manage staff contracts (including staff contracts, extension, amendments).
- Use various methods to find candidates for open and upcoming vacancies.
- Ensure recruitment processes are in line with SCI regulations.
- Follow up on timely submission of approved attendance sheets and timesheets for payroll processing.
- Support the preparation, review, and reconciliation of payroll documentation for casual workers and consultants.
- Manage offline leave requests for casual workers.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of leave requests, attendance, and payroll-related documents.
- Ensure all new employees are properly oriented on SCI policies and procedures.
- Deliver and coordinate HR induction sessions for new joiners and relevant staff.
- Send welcome packages and ensure completion of mandatory online trainings.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation for all onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Manage the leaver process, ensure return of SCI property, and conduct exit interviews.
- Maintain updated, compliant, and confidential personnel records.
- Undertake other projects as defined by the HRC.
- Be prepared to vary day to day activities and work pattern/hours in humanitarian response situations.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Strong understanding and experience of the recruitment lifecycle.
- Experience of coordinating onboarding processes.
- Experience in working with multicultural teams across diverse cultures and geographical distances.
- Proven operational generalist experience of providing service to staff and colleagues across a full range of HR issues.
- HR experience in emergency response especially on heavy recruitment, emergency recruitment and onboarding (desirable).
- An understanding of direct and proactive sourcing methods (desirable).
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and or Business Administration or any other relevant degrees.
