Overview
The WASH Hygiene Promotion Officer will provide leadership and participate in hygiene promotion campaigns, prepare written material for the field, and elaborate clear and adapted messages for beneficiaries. The role involves participating in emergency preparedness activities and responding to emergencies as required.

- Implement the work plan under the supervision of the WASH Coordinator
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of working experience
- 2 years of working WASH related humanitarian programmes with special focus on Hygiene promotion issues
- Commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation
- Excellent communication skills
- Capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances
- Experience or knowledge of working and living in relevant regions/contexts
- Humanitarian programming experience
Qualifications
• Diploma or its equivalent in Public health, Community development or equivalent field experience
