Overview
Manages and organizes security operations and personnel at the UNIRMCT The Hague. Ensures proper staffing, equipment, and adherence to security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages and organizes SSS IRMCT The Hague activities and operations.
- Inspects officer line-ups for attire, equipment, and knowledge.
- Assigns officers and maintains contact with supervisory personnel.
- Supervises SSS IRMCT The Hague personnel, including drafting disciplinary reports and evaluating staff.
- Instructs and directs staff on duties and responsibilities.
- Ensures all posts are properly and effectively manned.
- Ensures proper maintenance of equipment and records.
- Prepares and reviews incident reports.
- Reviews and plans meeting and special event schedules for staffing needs.
- Assumes command of emergency or heightened security situations.
- Manages e-performance reporting system for officers.
- Reviews, audits, and updates documentation.
- Enforces a Fire Prevention and Safety Programme.
- Prepares cost estimates and overtime forms.
- Drafts risk analysis when required.
- Recommends inter-unit redeployments.
- Deputizes the Assistant Chief of security when absent.
- Replaces the section Planner when necessary.
- May be assigned to other units.
- Assists with data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
- Assists with visualizations and updating information material.
- Performs any other assigned duties.
Required Experience
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the police, military or security services of the United Nations or other similar international organization is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience of working with UN International Criminal Tribunals is desirable. A minimum of one (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with supplementary security management or related training, is required. A valid driver's license is required. UNDSS firearms training Officer (FTO) qualification is desirable.
