Overview
This internship supports the administration, coordination, and oversight of projects funded under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Sub-Fund. The intern will gain exposure to project management and the work of the United Nations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in the development, review and preparation of project proposals.
- Assist in the organization of meetings, including preparing background documentation and developing records.
- Assist in tracking follow-up actions related to project review, implementation and reporting.
- Provide research support for background/information materials, including data collection and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of briefing notes, summaries, presentations and other information material.
- Support the day-to-day management and activities of the Management Unit, including organization of documentation, filing and information management.
- Support the preparation and updating of visibility and information materials.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
