Overview
The Project Manager will support the implementation of the ADEPT Programme by improving systems for faster importation, fiscal and regulatory processes, and clearance of health products. The role will also engage in global policy, importation process improvement, and public-private collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate and establish in-country information and contacts.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including ministries of health and government agencies.
- Support diagnostic work to map importation processes, including tax exemptions and regulatory approvals.
- Establish and source data to measure baseline performance and project impact.
- Participate in project governance structures, workshops, and convenings.
- Convene in-country working groups overseeing project implementation.
- Collaborate with GATF counterparts on streamlining country importation processes and procedures.
- Enhance understanding of country-specific importation processes and Customs Clearance requirements.
- Clarify financial disbursement mechanisms between government agencies.
- Raise awareness on the benefits of digitalization of importation processes.
- Identify key stakeholders for lobbying or collaboration on related activities.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years of professional work experience in managing import export of goods and preferably in aid and relief sector with focus on medicines and related equipment/devices required.
- Experience in humanitarian logistics, trade facilitation, customs clearance of health products, vaccines supply chains, public private partnerships, working with ministries of health, in import export of medical devices, process digitalization, and experience with single window systems.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Supply Chain, International Business, International Relations, International Trade or Finance or another relevant degree.
