Overview
Provide technical support and assistance in social policy programming and related advocacy, focusing on improving public policies, social protection, public financial management for children, and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve data on child poverty & vulnerability for policy and programme action.
- Strengthen social protection coverage and impact for children.
- Improve use of public financial resources for children.
- Strengthen capacity of local governments to plan, budget, consult on and monitor child-focused social services.
- Strengthen advocacy and partnerships for child-sensitive social policy.
- Undertake UNICEF Programme Management.
Required Experience
- A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Emergency experience.
- Challenging setting context.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
Qualifications
• A university degree in one of the following fields is required: Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, or another relevant technical field.
