Overview
The role supports and facilitates technical oversight and support of IOM’s PSEAH prevention and response efforts and AAP activities at the country level. The incumbent will also be an active member of the inter-agency PSEAH and AAP Networks in-country.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of an operational PSEAH Work Plan.
- Support the inclusion of PSEAH and AAP within the IOM Country Office Strategy.
- Support the development, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of PSEAH and AAP programming.
- Contribute to the in-country interagency PSEA and AAP Networks.
- Contribute to reporting on standard PSEAH CO-level indicators.
- Support assessments to identify potential SEAH risks.
- Assess implementing partners for PSEA capacities.
- Support the development and delivery of a PSEAH training plan.
- Compile and report data on the number of IOM personnel and partners trained.
- Support the development, localization and contextualization, and implementation of communication and awareness-raising strategies.
- Map existing Country Office community engagement projects and support PSEAH awareness activities.
- Support efforts to strengthen and maintain safe and accessible SEA reporting channels.
- Maintain the hotline and receive calls, provide timely information, refer cases and record inquiries.
- Safely respond to potential SEA disclosures, refer reports to IOM´s internal reporting systems, and coordinate safe referrals of victim/survivor to assistance services.
- Regularly monitor safety and other risks for SEAH victims/survivors.
- Undertake duty travel, as required.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Four years of relevant professional experience (with Bachelor's degree) or six years of relevant professional experience (with High school diploma).
- Experience in the fields of protection sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, protection, child protection, gender-based violence, accountability to affected populations (AAP), gender mainstreaming and/or humanitarian affairs.
- Coordination experience within the UN system and amongst interagency partners, including governments, NGOs, and communities.
- Experience in developing and facilitating trainings, in particular capacity-building, and communication materials to promote behaviour change.
- Experience in proposal development and the creation of standard operating procedures and tools.
- Experience in mainstreaming PSEAH, gender-based violence, child protection, protection, gender or accountability to affected populations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, International Relations, Psychology, Social Sciences, Development Studies and Planning or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or,
- High school diploma.
