Overview

Oversee the monitoring and evaluation aspects of regional programmes and activities, primarily focused on EU Migrant Protection Return and Reintegration Programme (MPRR) and Regional Development and Protection Programme for North Africa (RDPP).


Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of standardized M&E frameworks, tools, and data collection methods.
  • Consolidate and share M&E information to inform project progress and improvement.
  • Support the implementation of project baseline assessments, mid-term, and final evaluations.
  • Draft management responses to evaluation recommendations and monitor their implementation.
  • Document M&E trends and activities and support learning sharing mechanisms.
  • Review M&E plans and facilitate their alignment with programme goals.
  • Undertake field visits to support M&E implementation and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review country office progress reports and identify bottlenecks and corrective actions.
  • Support information flow between country offices, project governance, and regional offices.
  • Coordinate with relevant units for dissemination of good practices and lessons learned.
  • Stay updated on developments in IOM's M&E and RBM functions.
Required Experience
  • Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree; or four years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
  • Operational and field experience in coordination, project management, and monitoring and evaluation of migration-related projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordination, communication, and liaison with governmental authorities, UN, international and national NGOs, and other institutions.
  • Work experience in the North African region is an asset.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Political or Social Science, Business Administration, International Relations, Law or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or
  • University degree in the above fields.

• Fluency in English is required (oral and written).
Languages Preferred
• Working knowledge of Arabic or French is an advantage.
Contract Duration
1 year with possibility of extension
