Overview

The role involves planning, organizing, and conducting investigations of alleged violations by individuals within the applicable ICC rules and regulations. The purpose is to ensure the Assembly of the effective and comprehensive oversight of the Court to enhance its efficiency and economy.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize and conduct investigations of alleged violations by elected officials, staff members, consultants, contractors or any other individual within applicable ICC rules, regulations, policies or other administrative issuances.
  • Conduct interviews and obtain statements from complainant, witnesses, and subjects.
  • Identify, collect and analyse information relevant to any complaint or allegation.
  • Search for, gather, record and preserve all potential or relevant pieces of evidence.
  • Prepare complete and concise investigation reports.
  • Conduct post investigations tasks such as proposing actions to close matters.
  • Contribute to the development and preparation of relevant policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Implement and maintain established procedures to ensure professional competency and completeness.
  • Participate in briefings, meetings and presentations related to IOM investigation mandate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of IOM.
Required Experience

A minimum of five (5) years (seven (7) years with a first level university degree) of progressively responsible professional experience in complex criminal and/or administrative investigations or any other related field is required. Experience in administrative investigations in an international organisation is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in law, criminal investigations or any other related field. A first-level university degree, in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience is accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Languages Required
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, English or French, is required.
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other working language (English or French) is an asset. Knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish) would be considered an asset.
