Overview
The Head of Logistics, Travel and Transport Unit is responsible for the operations and management of the LTTU, providing services to all Court locations and overseeing procurement, management, and liaison with contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for operations and management of LTTU - supervising and steering the performance of the logistics, travel and transport personnel, setting goals and conducting periodic regular evaluations.
- Provide LTTU services to all Court locations based on client demand, reporting as required to the Chief GSS. This includes overseeing the procurement, management, and liaison with all relevant LTTU contractors to ensure timely, efficient, and client‑focused service delivery.
- Develop and update SOPs and contribute to AIs for travel, logistics, and transport operations.
- Prepare and provide inputs for accurate budget estimates, review and approve expenditures to ensure alignment with planned activities and objectives including travel budget.
- Collaborate with PU and administer the tender process for travel, supplies and Commercial insurance contracts, safeguarding appropriate, cost-effective and competitive pricing as well as coverage for assets, property, staff and fleet.
- Administer and manage all contracts with all travel, insurance, supplies and logistics service providers, ensuring they meet organizational needs and are cost-effective.
- Be responsible for the annual property physical inventories, ensuring accurate records, reporting and timely updates of asset status in all locations including Country Offices of the Court.
- Develop and implement systems to track the lifecycle of assets, ensuring proper maintenance, replacement, or disposal.
- Serve as Secretary of Property Survey Board and Claims Board, preparing and presenting analysis of cases and making proposals on cases and procedures.
- Identify training needs and facilitate the development of staff to maintain high service standards.
- Provides the efficient and safe management of the transportation fleet, meeting operational and safety standards.
Required Experience
- Seven years of progressive responsible experience in Logistics, Travel and/or Transport operations is required.
- Experience in developing and implementing policies and standards of operations (SOP) is required.
- Demonstrated experience of team management is required.
- Working experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, is required.
Qualifications
An advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in Business administration, Logistics management or supply chain management is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience is accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
