Overview

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the management, implementation, monitoring, and coordination of the Poverty Reduction through Inclusive Development Program (PRIDP). The role involves supporting resource mobilization, partnership development, and facilitating knowledge sharing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation, approval, and revision of annual work plans.
  • Plan and implement project activities in line with work plans.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for activity implementation (TOR, RFPs).
  • Support procurement processes for sub-granting.
  • Liaise and coordinate with partners for feedback on project activities.
  • Review and verify payment requests from downstream implementing partners.
  • Ensure timely reporting on delays in disbursement and/or project implementation.
  • Review progress reports for quality and results chain explanation.
  • Ensure M&E plan implementation and follow-up actions.
  • Conduct periodic stocktaking, lesson learned, and course correction.
  • Supervise reporting project staff.
  • Identify partnership opportunities for resource mobilization.
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to counterparts for PRIDP rollout.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Track and share new research, programmatic, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Identify priority areas for project research and advocacy.
  • Devise and implement a communications and advocacy strategy.
  • Organize training, workshops, and capacity building activities.
  • Synthesize and document best practices and lessons learned.
  • Participate in knowledge networks and communities of practice.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of professional work experience of managing and monitoring projects on livelihoods, inclusive economic empowerment, and access to services (with a Master’s degree).
  • Minimum 4 years of professional work experience of managing and monitoring projects on livelihoods, inclusive economic empowerment, and access to services (with a Bachelor’s degree).
  • Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based management systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating large-value projects and assets.
  • Previous work experience in the development sector or UN System is an advantage.
  • Strong project management experience and clear track record of managing teams will be an asset.
Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Anthropology, or any other related field is required.
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above in combination with an additional two (2) years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.
