Overview

Health & Nutrition Officer provides technical assistance and support for programme/project design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and administration of activities. The role supports the achievement of planned objectives aligned with Health & Nutrition programme goals and strategy.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate information, data analysis, and documentation for situation analysis, sectoral input, and reporting.
  • Provide technical assistance in the implementation of integrated Health & Nutrition approaches.
  • Effectively implement work plans and objectives, delivering planned results through technical support and coordination.
  • Enhance project efficiency and effectiveness through effective implementation follow-up.
  • Monitor project implementation progress for adjustment and improvement of program delivery and sustainability.
  • Provide gender/sex disaggregated data and inputs relevant to the Health & Nutrition programme.
  • Ensure transparency for supply and non-supply assistance and disbursement of programme funds for Health & Nutrition.
  • Maintain effective partnership and working relationships for advocacy, technical coordination, information sharing, and knowledge networking.
  • Keep up-to-date programme information available and prepare reports to support the Health & Nutrition programme.
  • Maintain emergency preparedness and provide effective emergency responses.
  • Accomplish other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in planning, programme, monitoring and evaluation, health care, programme management. Professional work experience in a programme management function or a technical expert capacity in child survival & health care.

Qualifications

University Degree in Public Health and Nutrition, Child Development, Social Development, Community Development, Medicine, Nursing and any other related fields.

Proficiency in English and in Burmese is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
