Overview
Manage, monitor, and administer financial, budgetary, treasury, human resources, supply chain, and ICT activities for the Germany Country Office and its Sub-Offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecast cash flows and monitor/control disbursed funds.
- Analyze financial projects, oversee budget control, and analyze variances.
- Prepare annual budget and develop budgets for new projects.
- Manage internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
- Examine and review payroll versus budgets.
- Review and finalize project and donor financial reports.
- Monitor and manage financial expenditure and accountability.
- Review and improve systems and procedures.
- Supervise Human Resources function, including recruitment and administration.
- Supervise Supply Chain services, contracts, fleet, and premises maintenance.
- Represent the Organization at UN meetings.
- Serve as Officer-in-Charge of the Country Office in the absence of the CoM.
Required Experience
- Seven years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree; or nine years with a University degree.
- Experience in all areas of financial administration, including financial management, accounting, and budgeting.
- Experience in human resources and Supply Chain.
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Experience in emergency operations is an advantage.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation and/or audit is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.
- Professional certification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an advantage.
