Overview
The Supply Chain Assistant will support the Coastal States Stability Mechanism (CSSM) programme in northern Ghana by managing procurement and logistics needs, ensuring compliance with organizational requirements, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify local service providers.
- Analyze and evaluate vendor performance.
- Liaise with intergovernmental and non-governmental agencies.
- Coordinate procurement and logistic needs.
- Confirm terms of payment and delivery conditions.
- Ensure appropriate authorization for orders.
- Follow up on Purchase Order status.
- Conduct tracking and reporting of service provision.
- Assist in asset inventory tracking.
- Organize and maintain procurement and filing systems.
- Ensure regular voucher inventory and retrieval.
- Ensure clearance of international orders and coordinate exemption requests.
- Organize staff moving.
- Perform any other assigned duties.
Required Experience
- University degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with 3 years of relevant professional experience; or Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience preferably in supply chain management of which one year in IOM or any UN system or any international organization will be an advantage.
- Experience in procurement in international and or government process.
- Proficiency in WAVE system, MS office applications such as Word and Excel.
Qualifications
- University degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution.
- Certified training on supply chain management, an advantage.
