Overview
This internship focuses on supporting communication and campaign activities within humanitarian and development contexts, with a primary goal of amplifying the voices of children and survivors of SGBV.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and edit communication materials including success stories and impact stories.
- Draft field content for the SCI website and social media accounts.
- Organize and lead campaign activities.
- Support the development of advocacy and campaign messages.
- Collect and document field stories and beneficiary testimonials.
- Act as a liaison between units.
- Support the Programme team with presentations and reports.
- Ensure communication materials align with organizational branding.
- Assist in designing visual communication materials.
- Support documentation of field activities through photos and short videos.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to the Child Safeguarding Policy.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated interest in: Child protection, Humanitarian and development actions, Communication for development, campaign, media, support of planning, working in NGO context.
- Familiarity with social media and digital communication tools.
- Ability to work sensitively with vulnerable populations and confidential information.
- Desirable: Ability to collect impact stories from beneficiaries in the field.
- Ability to write stories based on SCI guidelines and templates.
- Capacity to work in an international NGO in humanitarian and development contexts.
- Ability to take quality video and photographs and edit them for story purpose.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in: Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, International Relations, Development Studies, or related fields.
