Overview

The Associate Systems Engineer (Sitecore Architect) will provide architectural leadership for enterprise digital experience platforms, focusing on Sitecore XM Cloud, Azure-native services, and modern front-end delivery platforms. The role translates institutional requirements into scalable, secure, cloud-first architecture and supports project planning and delivery coordination.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Sitecore XM Cloud, Sitecore AI, headless architectures, and Vercel-based delivery.
  • Define technical roadmaps, reference architectures, and standards.
  • Translate business and institutional requirements into secure, scalable architectures.
  • Support Agile teams with technical scoping, estimation, sprint planning, and delivery coordination.
  • Design and validate integration architectures.
  • Ensure solutions comply with IMF information security policies and accreditation requirements.
  • Coordinate vulnerability assessment and remediation activities.
  • Enforce configuration management, version control, and release practices within Azure DevOps.
  • Produce and review architecture and design documentation.
  • Advise leadership on platform strategy, risks, and modernization decisions.
  • Coordinate across ITD teams to manage dependencies and ensure end-to-end alignment.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience (with a bachelor’s degree).
  • Strong hands-on Sitecore platform architecture and development experience, with .NET ecosystem (including ASP.NET MVC) and headless architectures.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Sitecore XM Cloud and composable DXP patterns.
  • Experience with Sitecore AI features including personalization, experimentation, analytics, and content intelligence.
  • Strong experience with modern front-end hosting and delivery platforms including Vercel.
  • Experience architecting and supporting large-scale, high-volume Sitecore implementations.
  • Experience with enterprise search solutions, including Coveo and/or equivalent search platforms.
  • Experience designing and governing end-to-end integration architecture for Sitecore platforms.
  • Strong Azure cloud architecture experience.
  • DevSecOps expertise.
  • Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns.
  • Project management skills including estimation, technical scoping, sprint planning support, and cross-vendor coordination.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and experience collaborating with InfoSec professionals.
  • Experience working effectively within Agile / Scrum delivery models.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
  • An advanced university degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline; or a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Preferred certifications: Sitecore Platform certifications and/or Microsoft Azure Architect/Developer certifications.
