Overview

Provide advanced technical, operational, administrative, and coordination support for UNODC projects in Cabo Verde, contributing to planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and quality assurance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to project implementation.
  • Ensure alignment with approved workplans, timelines, and expected results.
  • Support planning and prioritization of project activities.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze project data, outputs, and indicators.
  • Maintain updated monitoring systems and tracking tools.
  • Contribute to results-based management processes.
  • Prepare draft narrative and financial reporting inputs.
  • Consolidate information from implementing partners and stakeholders.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of reports.
  • Ensure compliance with UNODC rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Maintain project documentation and support audit processes.
  • Coordinate with national counterparts, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, and coordination activities.
  • Document lessons learned, best practices, and knowledge products.
  • Support internal quality assurance and risk identification processes.
Required Experience
  • At least 7 years relevant experience in project support, coordination, monitoring, and reporting required.
  • Experience related to crime prevention, criminal justice, governance, or law enforcement is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing technical documentation and reports is required.
  • Strong understanding of administrative, financial, and compliance processes is required.
  • Experience coordinating with national institutions and international partners is highly desirable.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A first-level university degree or advanced university degree in a relevant field is an asset.
Other Details
Languages Required
Fluency in English and Portuguese, i.e. oral, and written proficiency, is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
