Overview
Oversee supply chain activities to deliver quality goods and services to beneficiaries in a timely and cost-effective manner, supporting the Country Office and its Sub-Offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic planning for supply chain activities.
- Conduct logistics capacity assessment and market research.
- Supervise and manage all supply chain management-related tasks.
- Lead and supervise supply chain activities including planning, procurement, warehouse management, transport, distribution, fleet, assets, facilities, and logistics information management.
- Identify supply chain bottlenecks and optimize processes.
- Review procurement requests, identify service providers, and evaluate vendor performance.
- Solicit bids, quotations, and tender documents, oversee bidding process, and supervise purchase order preparation.
- Liaise with programme management to prepare and issue Call for Proposals and bidding documents.
- Ensure timely submission of asset procurement and other reports.
- Establish and manage internal control mechanisms for Supply Chain Management.
- Monitor maintenance and repair of office facilities.
- Supervise, train, and guide Supply Chain Management staff.
- Represent the CO in UN inter-agency meetings related to supply chain management.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Required Experience
- Five years of relevant professional experience with a Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field.
- Seven years of relevant professional experience with a University degree in the above fields.
- Experience in managing diverse procurement and logistics operations.
- Demonstrated experience in training and managing large teams of co-workers, managing vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
