Overview
The Associate Project Officer will support portfolio management, project administration, and project processing activities for loans, grants, and technical assistance projects, as well as knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support processing, implementation, administration, and self-assessment of investment projects, TA projects, and sector work.
- Monitor project progress and prepare performance reports.
- Prepare annual forecasts of contract awards and disbursement.
- Identify and address project implementation issues.
- Review procurement documents.
- Prepare project administration documents.
- Participate in project administration missions.
- Analyze team's portfolio performance and project administration workload.
- Coordinate with other project administration teams.
- Contribute to sector portfolio analysis and reviews.
- Contribute to project administration-related reports.
- Support Technical International staff in reviewing documents and engaging with stakeholders.
- Support project processing activities, including designing implementation arrangements.
- Organize and participate in meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Contribute to sector-related research and briefing materials.
- Support preparation of work program and budget resource requirements.
- Monitor and report on budget utilization.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in ADB project management and implementation, preferably in the human and social development sector.
- Experience and knowledge of various stages of the project cycle (project planning / feasibility analysis / detailed design / project implementation / construction supervision / contract management) is desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, public administration, education, public health, or a related field; preferably with advanced training.
