Overview
Oversee the formulation and articulation of financial sector policy and strategies, engaging developing member country governments in policy dialogue, conducting ADB's activities to support financial sector policy and reforms, lead and support financial sector operations, and engage in knowledge production and dissemination.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of financial sector strategies for developing member countries (DMCs).
- Propose, process, implement, and supervise lending programs, projects, and technical assistance in the financial sector.
- Lead and support knowledge generation, dissemination, and application.
- Represent SD3-FIN in meetings with senior government officials in the financial sector.
- Coach and mentor teams and individuals.
- Supervise assigned staff by providing clear directions, and regular monitoring and feedback on performance.
Required Experience
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in financial sector development.
- Experience in emerging areas of finance, such as climate financing, and digital finance is an advantage.
- Significant expertise within a specific area of ADB's operations (financial sector), or breadth across multiple areas with in-depth knowledge within one area.
- Expertise with recognized ability to lead projects and to share knowledge.
- Ability to perform effectively as a mission leader or team leader.
- Two years of relevant experience outside ADB within the past five years is required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree, or equivalent, in finance, economics, or related subjects.
- Or University degree and at least 5 years specialized experience relevant to the position.
