Overview

Provide senior editorial leadership for Board documents, serve as a focal point for information classification, oversee Board document circulation, and support public disclosure. Contribute strategically to the modernization of information management processes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level editing of Board documents.
  • Strengthen the clarity, coherence, and narrative quality of Board documents.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and capacity building support to staff and project teams on editorial quality and document preparation.
  • Oversee Board document circulation, ensuring timely circulation of documents to BOD, aligned with ADB standards, templates, and style guidelines.
  • Serve as the focal point for information classification.
  • Advise departments on classification issues and support consistent institutional practice in coordination with key internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate capacity development activities on information classification in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Guide staff on disclosure procedures, requirements, and disclosure notes in accordance with the AIP and applicable sections of the ADB Operations Manual.
  • Raise awareness and build capacity of staff in other departments and field offices on the implementation of the AIP.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of digital workflows.
  • Support the adoption of AI‑enabled tools for editorial, information classification, and information‑management purposes, in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce duplication, and enhance efficiency.
  • Support departmental knowledge‑management initiatives and learning activities.
  • Assist in the organization of major institutional events, including the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience

At least 10 years of relevant editing experience in a professional capacity. International experience working in several countries, preferably in developing countries.

Qualifications

Master's degree, or equivalent in English, Journalism, Communications, International Affairs, Public Policy, Social Sciences or related fields. University degree in English, Journalism, Communications, International Affairs, Social Sciences, Information Management, Library Science, or related fields, and at least 5 years specialized experience relevant to the position can be considered.
