Overview
This internship supports the UNODC Regional Office for Southeast Asia and the Pacific's work on strengthening criminal justice responses to cybercrime, focusing on cybercrime and cybersecurity law.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct desk research and data collection on cyber-enabled and cyber-dependent crimes.
- Support analysis of cyber threats, malware, online criminal misuse of technology, and emerging trends.
- Review laws and policies related to cybercrime.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing technical notes, legal analyses, briefing notes, background papers, concept notes, reports, and presentations.
- Support work related to digital evidence, basic forensic concepts, and incident response.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of meetings, workshops, technical capacity-building activities, and consultations.
- Provide general analytical, research, and administrative support.
Required Experience
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Be computer literate in standard software applications.
