Overview
This role supports the implementation of community-based surveillance (CBS) under the leadership of the Ministry of Health and the Public Health Emergency Operations Center (COUSP). The purpose is to contribute to effective and equitable response efforts, particularly for children and at-risk communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Detection and reporting of alerts
- Follow-up of cases and contacts
- Supervision and support of community actors
- Coordination with health facilities
- Collaboration with SBC/RCCE
- Data use and monitoring
- Reporting
Required Experience
- At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in community-based surveillance or public health programs.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
- Experience in epidemic response (Ebola, cholera, etc.) is an asset.
Qualifications
• Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Public Health, Medicine, or a related field.
