Overview

Support and implement the new resource mobilization strategy in support to the RM officer NO2. This includes coordination of proposals with institutional donors and implementation of the RM strategy for the private sector, Foundations, UNICEF NatComs and individual givings.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Assist in monitoring and analyzing donor policies on humanitarian assistance and funding sources.
  • - Assist in developing strategies to raise locally available funds.
  • - Monitor recording and tracking of contributions.
  • - Follow up on the funding situation of Programme areas.
  • - Build trusted, effective relationships with donors.
  • - Consolidate quality of internal reporting.
  • - Contribute to quality check of donor reports.
  • - Contribute to strengthening the capacity of section staff on donor outreach strategy.
  • - Ensure coherence and consistency between upstream and downstream partnership agreement.
  • - Provide information to donors on UNICEF Cameroon operations and financial requirements.
  • - Support the drafting of communication plans for resource mobilization.
  • - Implement the Individual giving process.
Required Experience

At least 1 year of relevant job experience in communication, public relations, donor relations, resource mobilization at professional level in UNICEF or other organizations that works in humanitarian relief/protection actives. Experience in Grant Management, Reporting, Partnership Management, Private Sector Engagement is required. Experience in foundations relations, private sector fundraising, humanitarian aid contexts, national committees' coordination, UNICEF NatComs Coordination and emergency is considered as an asset. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.

Qualifications

Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Communications, Journalism, Public Administration/Policy, social sciences and sociology; International Development or any other relevant field.

Fluency in French (verbal and written) and working knowledge of English is required.
Languages Preferred
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
