International Consultant on Socio-Economic Empowerment of VAWG Survivors to support project design, implementation, and monitoring of results, informed by international good practices.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise on women’s socio-economic empowerment in EVAW contexts.
  • Prepare technical comparative inputs and policy-oriented technical briefs.
  • Deliver online technical sessions on international norms, standards, and good practices.
  • Support revision of Skills Mapping and Gap Analysis and develop a policy-oriented way forward.
  • Provide technical inputs to training curricula and knowledge products.
  • Support finalization of project deliverables through technical quality assurance.
  • Provide technical support for the development and implementation of monitoring and results frameworks.
  • Provide technical guidance for the design and refinement of monitoring tools.
  • Support the development or adaptation of assessment tools for measuring empowerment.
  • Advise on monitoring implementation and use of results.
Required Experience
  • At least seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience providing technical or advisory support on women’s socio-economic empowerment, livelihoods, employment, or labour market–related programming, including work informed by international norms, standards, and good practices, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy-oriented analysis or technical advisory work related to women’s economic empowerment in EVAW-sensitive, humanitarian, postcrisis, or fragile contexts, including active labour market programmes, financial empowerment frameworks, or institutional coordination mechanisms, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation, or results-based frameworks for socio-economic empowerment or related programmes on women’s empowerment, including the design, adaptation, or technical review of indicators and assessment tools aligned with international standards, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing capacity development support, such as technical guidance, training design, advisory inputs, or methodological review, to governmental and non‑governmental actors working on women’s economic empowerment, across diverse country or regional contexts, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in producing policy-relevant knowledge products, including technical briefs, analytical notes, guidance documentation, or comparative analyses, and in facilitating technical briefings or learning sessions for international or multi-country audiences, is desirable.
Qualifications
  • A master’s degree or equivalent in economics, women’s studies, development studies, social work, psychology, social policy, labour studies, or a related field is required.
  • A first‑level university degree in economics, women’s studies, development studies, social policy, labour studies, or a related field, combined with an additional two years of qualifying professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
